Doug Is Nominated For Third Annual IMEA Awards!! 

MTS 2015 IMEA NOMINEESMTS Management Group is proud to announce their artists, Billy Grima, Doug Briney, Ed Roman, and Hicks have all been nominated in the 3rd Annual International Music and Entertainment Association (IMEA) Awards. Canadian singer/songwriter, Billy Grima received three nominations (Adult Contemporary Artist of the Year, Best Americana Album - Sugar & Cream, and Best Americana Song – “Pleasure To Have Met You.”) Nashville-based country artist, Doug Briney received a nomination for Best Country Male. Swedish country rocker, Hicks was also nominated for Best Country Male, as well as Best Country Song, “I Belong To You.” 2014 AC Artist of the Year and Canadian multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Ed Roman was nominated for the award again, this year.  He was also nominated for Best AC Song, “Comin’ My Way.” The 3rd Annual IMEA Awards will be held on October 24, 2015 at the Marietta Performing Arts Center in Marietta, GA.  For a full list of nominees, visit http://www.imeaawards.com/nominees/.

Entertainer of the Year nominees, as well as nominees in industry categories Manager of the Year and Record Label of the Year have not been announced yet.  Nominees were selected from nominee submissions, by an anonymous Nominating Committee, comprised of industry pros. Winners in each category will be determined by the Voting Committee and a weighted fan vote. Details on fan-voting have not been released yet.

Doug Will Perform At 2015 Texas Sounds International Country Music Awards

The event runs July 30-Aug 9, 2015 in Jefferson, Texas.  Doug will perform on July 31, and Billy will perform on August 1. Additional performers from around the world include Jillian Kohr (Nashville, TN); Craig Adams (New Zealand); Alex Carbayo (Spain), and Country Strike (Croatia), among others. Texas Sounds is an outgrowth of East Texas Performing Arts, Inc. (ETPA), a 501c3 nonprofit organization www.ETXPA.org. ETPA has produced live stage plays and musical concerts in Jefferson, Texas since 2011. The organization is entirely volunteer based. No one receives a salary, wage, honorarium, or stipend. Funds raised by Texas Sounds fund ETPA, productions and outreach programs such as classes in acting, public speaking, and expressive movement. Watch Doug's National Anthem Performance From Nashville Speedway 

This past Saturday, July 11, 2015, Nashville country recording artist, Doug Briney amazed the crowd at Fairgrounds Nashville Speedway with his rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner." Doug's performance was hailed by a top Speedway representative as "One of the Top 5 National Anthems" they'd ever heard at the venue. Doug performed the National Anthem prior to the "Night Of the Stars" races, which included the 100-lap Big Machine Records Pro Late Model Challenge Series. Doug said, "It was such an incredible honor to perform the National Anthem at the Nashville Speedway. So, firstly, I want to say 'thank you' to them for having me out.  I love the races, and the fans who are so devoted to supporting them.  Of course, the National Anthem has so much meaning to me, and I wanted to pay my respect to our country and our veterans with my performance.   When I was done, I received some pretty incredible compliments from everyone, including a top representative, who told me, mine was in the top 5 performances, in over 40 years.  It was a very humbling moment for me."

In 2013, Doug Briney won the Best Live Performance at the Independent Country Music Awards, for a previous rendition of the National Anthem.

Doug Wins At 2015 CMG Global Awards 

MTS Management Group is happy to announce their clients, Doug Briney, Xander Demos and owner, Michael Stover are winners at the 2015 CMG Global Radio Awards. Pittsburgh-based metal guitar virtuoso, Xander Demos was named Pop/Rock Male Artist of the Year, and his single, “Dancing Through Daggers” was named Pop/Rock Single of the Year.  Nashville-based country artist, Doug Briney was named Country Male Artist of the Year.  Michael Stover (of MTS Management Group) was named Artist Manager of the Year. Both Xander and Doug had MTS-promoted releases top the CMG Global Radio Network charts during 2015.  This is the third consecutive win for Stover/MTS.
